Your data, and what we do with it.

The short version

Koval SEO Console reads the public pages of the websites you ask it to check — it never logs in to them or changes anything. We keep your account and your check results so you can come back to them. We don't sell your data or run advertising trackers, and you can export or delete your data at any time. The full details are below.

1. Who we are

Koval SEO Console ("Koval SEO", "we", "us") is an online tool that checks websites for SEO problems and explains them in plain words. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the service at kovalseo.com and the app at app.kovalseo.com, and how we handle it. Questions? Email hello@kovalseo.com.

2. What we collect

Your account

When you create an account, we store the email address and password you sign up with (your password is stored in an encrypted form, never in plain text). We use this to let you sign in and to contact you about the service.

The sites and checks you create

When you add a website and run a check, we store the addresses you enter, the results of each check, its history over time, and any notes or decisions you make (for example, marking a finding as intentional). This is the working data of the product — it's there so your results are waiting for you when you return.

Search Console data you choose to upload

If you want richer results, you can upload a data export file from your own Google Search Console account. You export that file yourself from Google and upload it to us — we never log in to, connect to, or access your Google account. We show you a preview of exactly what we read before it affects your check, and we store it with your site so future checks can use it.

Basic technical information

To run the service securely and reliably, our servers keep standard technical records such as your IP address and browser type for short periods — used for signing you in, keeping the service secure, and preventing abuse. We do not use this to build advertising or cross-site tracking profiles.

Payment information

None. The product is free right now, so we don't ask for or store any payment or credit-card details.

3. How we use your data

To provide the checkup: run the checks you ask for and show you the results.
To keep your account and let you sign in.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
To contact you about important changes, security notices, or your account.

We do not use your data for anything else without telling you first.

4. What we never do

We never change your website. The checker only reads your public pages, the same way a search engine does. It cannot log in to, edit, or publish to any site it checks — this is built into how the tool works, not just a promise.
We never sell or rent your data to anyone.
We never run advertising or cross-site tracking on you.

5. Cookies

We use only the essential cookies needed to sign you in and keep your session secure. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

6. Where your data lives and who can see it

Your data is stored on servers we use to run the hosted service, provided by a reputable hosting provider that processes it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. Access is limited to the people who need it to operate and support the service. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no online service can promise perfect security.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account and check data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a site, its data is removed; if you delete your account or ask us to, we remove your personal data (except anything we're required to keep by law). Basic security records are kept only for a short period.

8. Your choices

See it — you can view your data inside the product at any time.
Export it — you can download your findings, pages, and check records as files.
Delete it — you can delete a site, or your whole account, at any time.
Ask us — email hello@kovalseo.com to access, correct, or remove your personal data.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data under local law. We'll honour those rights — just contact us.

9. Children

Koval SEO Console is a tool for website owners and isn't intended for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and, where appropriate, let you know. The date at the top always shows when it was last updated.
