The rules for using Koval SEO.

The short version
Koval SEO Console is a free tool that audits websites for SEO problems and explains them. Only audit sites you own or are allowed to audit. We give you information and analysis — not guarantees; we can’t promise rankings or traffic. Use the service fairly and don’t try to overload or break it. The full terms are below.

1. Agreement to these terms

By using Koval SEO Console (“Koval SEO”, “the service”) — with an account or without one — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. If you use it on behalf of a company, you confirm you’re allowed to accept these terms for it.

2. What the service is

Koval SEO Console is a hosted tool that reads the public pages of a website, finds possible SEO problems, shows the proof for each one, explains it in plain words and puts the problems in the order to fix them. After your fixes, you can audit the site again to see what changed. It reads only — it does not sign in to, change or publish to any website it audits, and it does not fix anything on your site for you.

Our reader introduces itself by name and follows the site’s robots.txt. The page about it explains how it reads and how a site owner can slow it down or stop it.

3. With an account and without one

You can audit a site without an account: the audit reads fewer pages and its result is kept for a short time. A free account keeps your sites and audits, reads more pages and lets you audit again.

  • Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details secure. To start audits from an account, you confirm your email address first.
  • You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Tell us at hello@kovalseo.com if you think your account has been used without your permission.

4. Acceptable use

To keep the service safe and fair for everyone, you agree that you will:

  • Only audit websites you own or are authorised to audit. Don’t submit sites you have no right to analyse.
  • Not use the service to overload, attack or disrupt any website or our own systems.
  • Not attempt to break, reverse-engineer or work around the limits of the service, or resell it as your own.
  • Not use the service for anything unlawful or to harm others.

5. Limits

An account has a number of pages it can audit each month and a number of sites it can keep; an audit without an account reads a smaller number of pages. The current limits are shown on kovalseo.com and in the app. They keep the service reliable and keep us polite to the websites being audited. We may change them; if a change takes away something you already use, we’ll tell you beforehand.

6. What we promise — and what we don’t

Koval SEO gives you information and analysis about your website. It does not guarantee search rankings, traffic or any particular result — those depend on search engines and many things outside our control. We aim to be accurate and honest, and we tell you when we’re not sure or when something couldn’t be checked, but you’re responsible for deciding what to change on your own site.

7. Price

The service is free right now. We plan to offer more pages and more sites for a price — when we do, we’ll make the price clear before you pay for anything, nothing will be charged unless you choose to buy it, and the free parts you’re using won’t suddenly be locked behind a bill without notice. We say “free right now” rather than “free forever” because we won’t promise something we can’t guarantee.

8. Your data and ours

You own the sites and data you put into the service. You grant us the permission we need to store and process that data in order to run the service for you. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

The service itself — its software, its explanations and the Rulebook — belongs to us. You may use what the service gives you for your own sites and your clients’ sites.

9. Availability

The service is provided “as is” and is still evolving. We work to keep it available and reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be online or free of errors, and we may change, add or remove features over time.

10. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent allowed by law, Koval SEO is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost rankings, traffic, revenue or data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can’t be limited by law.

11. Suspending or ending your use

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access to accounts that break these terms or that put the service or other people at risk.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service grows. If we make meaningful changes, we’ll update this page and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, where the operator of Koval SEO Console is established. If you use the service as a consumer, the protections your own country’s law gives you and that can’t be waived still apply.
